THE MAYOR 2021/2022 and 2022/2023 - COUNCILLOR KATHY GRAY
The 2021 Annual Meeting/Mayor Making took place yesterday (17th May) via Zoom.
The Mayor of Milford Haven 2021/2022 is Councillor Kathy Gray (East Ward). Councillor Gray was proposed by Councillor Yvonne
Southwell (Hakin Ward) and seconded by Councillor Rhys Sinnett (West Ward).
The Deputy Mayor of Milford Haven 2021/2022 is Councillor Carol Stevens (West Ward). Councillor Stevens was proposed by Councillor
Rhys Williams (North Ward) and seconded by Councillor Brian Phillips (Central Ward).
The Mayor's Chaplain is Reverend Father Andrew Johnson from St. Katharine and St. Peter's Church in the Local Ministry Area of
Roose.
The Mayor's Cadets are Able Cadet Ben Power from the Milford Haven Sea Cadets and Royal Marines Cadets, Lance Corporal Connor
Russell from the Milford Haven Army Cadets, and Lance Corporal Ioan Jarman from the Milford Haven Army Cadets.
Departing Mayor Councillor Terry Davies (West Ward) - who had held the position with much aplomb in both 2019/2020 and 2020/2021 -
paid tribute to his wife and Mayoress, Mrs Jayne Davies, and his family. He also paid tribute to his Chaplain (Reverend Father Andrew Johnson), Cadet (Leading Cadet Rhys Hughes-Phillips from the
Milford Haven Sea Cadets and Royal Marines Cadets), photographer (Carol Best), fellow Councillors and office staff. Councillor Davies thanked everyone in Milford Haven for their support over the last
two years and for their lovely comments over the last few days. He stated that it was such an honour and privilege to have been the Mayor of Milford Haven.
