The Mayor's Cadet is a position of great honour, chosen personally by the Mayor and bestowed upon an individual from the town's Cadet groups, an individual outstanding of character, who has consistently displayed dedication at the highest level.

The Mayor's Cadets for 2023/2024 are:

• L/Cpl Jason Jenkins (Dyfed and Glamorgan Army Cadet Force)
• Miss Elinor Pritchard (Girlguiding Pembrokeshire)
